This study aims to identify the role of social media in knowledge-sharing among faculty members. The descriptive analytical approach is deployed in this study due to its suitability to the nature of the study and data was collected using a questionnaire from a sample of 155 lecturers from Jordanian universities. The findings of this study showed that there are significant differences between the means of the respondents’ estimates of the role of social media in knowledge sharing among faculty members. Training programs need to be established to strengthen the knowledge sharing among academic staff via social media applications and websites. Jordanian universities have to work to build a strong physical, technological, and technical infrastructure, which enable them to face the challenges and difficulties and strengthen the knowledge sharing among faculty members.
